The Butterfly Room
The Butterfly Room is a light, bright, and welcoming environment thoughtfully arranged to inspire curiosity and exploration in our two-year-olds. Registered for a maximum of 14 children, the room is designed to support both active learning and restful downtime throughout the day.
A quiet area is available with soft, comfortable sleep mats for children who need rest after lunch. For those who do not sleep, we provide a selection of calm, engaging activities tailored to their needs.
Play is at the heart of everything we do, with a variety of stimulating opportunities available both indoors and outdoors. Children are encouraged to actively explore their environment, developing a wide range of skills through rich, hands-on experiences. Messy and sensory play supports tactile exploration, while music and vocal play introduce them to a world of sound.
Imaginative play is nurtured through exposure to new challenges and creative opportunities, helping children to build confidence and a sense of wonder.
Our practice is guided by the Birth to Three framework and Realising the Ambition: Being Me, as well as the wellbeing principles of the SHANARRI indicators, ensuring a holistic and child-centred approach to development and care.
